My latest obsession

The smile, the over-sized baby teeth, the long lashes, 

the constant waterfall/drool, the chunky cheeks,

the fading birthmark (that matches the one I had),

the O face, the chubby baby feet, the blond hair.

I am obsessed.

Miles is walking 10-15 steps at a time and thinks it's pretty much the coolest thing ever. 

He sure looks grownup walking by himself!

Goldilocks and the 3 Bears + Minnie Mouse

 Before preschool. Approximately 7 in the morning. Early!

 Papa Egbert got into town on Halloween! So fun! Miles' shirt says, "got candy?"

Miles got to eat a sucker! He was pretty mad at me when I took it away.

I was super excited to do a goldilocks and the 3 bears theme. Frannie was amazing and made all 3 of the bear beanies! They looked so great! Thank you! I made Jocelyn the little apron that says, "Goldilocks".

Jocelyn dressed up for preschool in the morning as minnie mouse and she looked adorable. The problem was that after she dressed up as Minnie she didn't want to dress up as goldilocks. I convinced her to be goldilocks and then part way through trick or treating she changed back to Minnie.

We went to a family's house in the ward for dinner and then trick or treated around their neighborhood. Funny thing is I didn't meet the family until we showed up at their house (Casey knows her from ym/yw). Our ward is fantastic! Thank you Mondragon Family! We had a great time!

spilt juice

Jocelyn stuck a straw in her juice box and it spilled a little. 

She said, "Oh my gosh! Are you kidding me juice? Seriously. 

Yikes, stinkin thing. You got on my chair too! I guess you were filled way up."

She is very "grown up" now. Casey says she talks just like me.... hmmm

current thoughts

*it's been 2 hours since i last held my new nephew and i want to hold him again. i love baby boston!

*my house is freeeeezing (it's 71 degrees).

*casey folded and put away the most ginormous pile of laundry ever for me today. he is the best!

*i limit my kids intake of halloween candy, but not my own. hmmm...

*the dog below us won't stop barking- a little annoying, but i bet my kids crying/screaming at night is more annoying.

*miles needs to stop waking up at night. hard core sleep training started last night. jocelyn is sleeping in our closet.

*i got a job that is only at night after the kids are in bed till about midnight and weekends. i help a lady in the ward with her catering business. it's honestly the best job i've ever had (besides the obvious "job" of being a mommy.)

*so sad to see dad egbert say goodbye to the kids tonight. he goes back to utah in the morning and the trip felt much too short. we miss family

*any visitors want to come see us?? we'll take you any time!

*texas has some really really nice people. it's said that the people make up for the hot/humid weather and i believe it.

*pinterest in my newest addiction online. i think it's very useful and fun and awesome.

*miles boy is 11 months old, no longer looks like a baby, and is crazy/wild/into everything! love him!

*jocelyn started preschool. she loves it. i think i love it but miss her lots and wonder how she is old enough to go off to school.

I cannot get enough of this girlie and love every single thing about her. Where would I be without my little sillystuff, Joce-a-loo-loo, little missy, Joce the boss, Jocelini (joce-a-lee-nee), Jocelyn Emma... oh, you are my favorite!

Miles has made me realize once again how much I LOVE babies! 

He is the most easy going baby. When he's tired and we're not home he'll just cuddle into me and fall asleep. I love having a cuddly boy! He is always happy and very rarely full out cries (like maybe a couple times a week!). He just fusses a little to let me know he needs something. He is content to lay on the floor and play with toys. His favorite thing right now is his feet. He will pull them up and suck on them all the time.  When I get him out of his crib he is always sucking on his feet. Miles is a good eater and makes me laugh because he always acts like he is starving when he starts to eat. He is a pretty good sleeper (usually sleeps 10pm-9am waking up around 4am and 7am) and moves around alot in his crib.  He is never in the same position I lay him down in. He liked being swaddled up until a week ago when I tried not swaddling him. He went to sleep much faster and sleeps on his side. This boy loves to laugh and is super ticklish under his armpits. Jocelyn can get him to smile so quickly and he just loves to watch anything she is doing. Miles "talks" all the time to us, to toys, to anything. Some names we call him are: Miles boy, buddy, brudda (Jocelyn), little talker, little stinker (Jocelyn always corrects me by saying, "he's not a stinker! He's cute!). 

We love him and can't get enough!
