2 YEARS! Oh yeah!

Today is our 2 year anniversary! Yay! I can't believe how much life has changed in the two years we've been married. The biggest change is our little Jocey. We love her more than anything. This past weekend to celebrate we went to the Egbert's cabin. We planned to take Jocelyn with us, but then my mom told me she wanted to take her so we could really relax. So Casey and I went up to the cabin alone. We have so many fun memories at the cabin. We went there about a month after our first date. This was the first time I told Casey I loved him, he'd told me many times before. ;) Then we went there about a month later with his family and my family. Then we spent our honeymoon there. And last Christmas we spent up there with Casey's family. We love it up there. It is so relaxing and takes our minds off of our everyday lifes. We always have the best time up there. We plan to do something else fun tonight to celebrate. I don't think we've decided yet, but my mom is taking Jocelyn again so we can go to dinner and maybe Color Me Mine?? We'll see, but it will be fun whatever it is.

Casey is my best friend, my companion, my entertainer, my breakfast cook, my baby's daddy, my everything! I love him!! I'm so happy he's mine FOREVER!

Thankful for this Country

I was in the car with my dad on the way to Jr. High when an announcement came on the radio saying that a plane had just crashed into the World Trade Center. My dad shushed me and turned the radio up really loud. I tried to ask what the World Trade Center was but my dad just shushed me again. So, I sat there confused until he finally explained. It was a very sad day. At school all we did was watch videos and pictures of what was happening on the other side of the country. I couldn't even grasp the reality of what was happening.

I am forever grateful for our country and that we live in a land of freedom. I am thankful to each and every person who has ever served our country and fought for freedom. Without you, we could never be "The land of the free, and the home of the brave." Thank you to all of the brave who fight for America.

Thankful Things Thursday (I remembered! YAY)

Casey:
He just started up school again for the semester. In the two years we've been married he has worked, or gone to school both full time, everyday except Sunday during the school year. Somehow this semester he doesn't have work or school on Saturday. We are very blessed. He is such a hard worker. I am so grateful he is willing to do both full time so that I can be a full time mom. He is an amazing daddy too! He was begging me to paint Jocelyn's toenails but I didn't want to get it all over so he did it. Cute huh?! He used to say he wanted a boy first, but since we've had Jocelyn he's admitted that he wanted a girl all along. haha. I love him.

Good Friends:
This past week I've been able to see almost all of my friends from high school. Ashley came to visit me on Tuesday. We can talk forever. She is a wonderful friend and a great listener. I was so happy to see her. Then last night my friend, Sarah, had her bridal shower. All of my good friends were there, except Jessie who's on her mission in Thailand. We all seemed to pick up right where we left off. We laughed all night and couldn't believe it was already time to go home. I am so grateful to call these girls my friends!

The Olympics:

I know this is late, but I loved watching them. All of the people were so incredibly talented. I couldn't believe all of the new world records. Amazing! Plus it was a great excuse to stay up late. My favorites were Michael Phelps, some got annoyed of all the attention he got but I think he deserved every bit of it, and I loved watching gymnastics and diving.

New Shopping Place

I just recently decided to check out Kid to Kid. I could regret having not gone there before now since I could have got all of her stuff for at least half the price I paid, but instead of regretting I will just be happy that I now know about it. We bought her this little exersaucer for a great deal and she just loves it, almost as much as I do. It gives me a nice break from holding and entertaining. Once in a while I need to be able to put her down, or so they tell me. :) She's pretty spoiled.

Sitting Pretty

Jocelyn can sit up! She loves it because now she can see everything that is going on around her. Sometimes she falls over, but she doesn't seem to care. She's getting so big.

When it's Raining on Sunday

Sunday night it rained alot. We opened all the windows and just listened to the rain. I love the sound of rain and I was so happy it wasn't thundering. I don't like the thunder. I never have and probably never will. But I did enjoy the rain. Outside our apartment we found this little friend. I've never seen a snail before so this was pretty cool. I couldn't even tell it was moving until I got right down by it.
